About Michael
Executive Chef and owner of MIGALO Catering Services, specialising in in-home private dining experiences.
Culinary Career:
I moved from South Africa to New Zealand to pursue my dream of becoming a chef.
During my time in NZ I graduated from NZMA level 5 diploma in culinary arts.
I've worked at some of Auckland’s top restaurants namely Bracu out south, and most recently O’Connell Street Bistro, both hatted restaurants.

Culinary Achievements:
2018 – Chosen to represent New Zealand in the world’s first “Cooking with Truffles” competition in Spain
2018 – Bread Recipe featured in The New Zealand Chef cook book
2017 – Won Bronze Medal in regional NZ Chefs Salon
2016 – Won Gold Medal in regional NZ Chefs Salon
